Apocalypse Now, la obra de arte total de Francis Ford Coppola sobre una novela de Joseph Conrad con música de Richard Wagner y The Doors y con Marlon Brando en el papel de superhombre nietzscheano, abre tantos frentes que este post va a permanecer en construcción una larga temporada (a través de la etiqueta "Apocalypse Now", que permite a través del menú acceder a todos los artículos relacionados). Espero que podamos asomarnos al abismo del horror (¡the horror, the horror!) y, como el capitán Willard, volver en pensativo silencio: ese relativismo es el hombre contemporáneo (algunos lo llaman postmoderno).

ResponderEliminarUna noche, a tope de alcohol y psicodelia, Morrison se presenta tarde, justo a tiempo para el último pase, y muy serio propone al resto del grupo abrir la actuación con "The End".
ResponderEliminarCuando se apagan las luces y empieza a sonar la música con su especial ritmo hipnótico las miradas permanecen fijas en la oscura figura que hay sobre el escenario y que tras la primera estrofa recita lentamente el incesto y la muerte:
"Padre... Qué, hijo....Quiero matarte..."
"Madre... Quiero... JODERTE!!!"
Un largo grito deja mudos a los presentes, mientras el inocente Edipo retoma la segunda, estrofa, termina la canción y desaparece.
